Atlantic Grey Seal Pup
I caught this little chap whilst visiting The Farne Islands off the Northumberland coast. The boat we were travelling on stopped at the island of Longstone for us tourists to have a look around the island and lighthouse. The seal was lying right next to the boat landing and lighthouse as if waiting for the tourists to arrive. He certainly appeared to rather enjoy the attention. We'd only landed on the island for half an hour; twenty minutes of that was spent photographing the seal! Needless to say, I didn't see much more. I took around eighty pictures and wouldn't usually post a huge amount on one subject on the site. However, this is the first post on the wildlife page, so I've decided to put 56 pics on for a short time, or until I get more wildlife (other than Birds & Insects). After that, I'll have the very difficult job of deciding which pics to keep on this page, as they're all cute! Enjoy!
