Collared Doves (Streptopelia decaocto)

The collared dove (streptopelia decaocto) is originally an Asian bird. It was not introduced to the UK from Europe until the 1950s and is now a common sight in gardens, parks & farmland.

Stock Doves (Columba Oenas)

The stock dove (Columba Oenas) is a fairly new visitor to our garden. They are common throughout the UK and found in parts of Europe in the Summer. Stock doves build nests in tree holes (eg woodpecker holes) and buildings.

Woodpigeons (Columba palumbus)

The woodpigeon (Columba palumbus) is the largest of our pigeons. For it's size, it appears very timid & wary of smaller birds. It is common throughout Europe in gardens, woodland & farmland.
