Breed77 at the Carling Academy2, Newcastle, 29.04.2007

Chris accidentally stumbled across Breed77 through one of her online friends after she'd posted on her journal that she'd seen one (or was it several???) of their gigs. Chris did a search months later, listened to their music & sent it to me. What I heard was quite unique; they're from Gibraltar and have a mixed sound of various international influences. It's difficult to describe but I've read somewhere that they're a  flamenco metal band, which I have to agree with but with a slight Asian / North African/South American slant; I did say mixed & international!  They also have a hint of Ill Nino & System Of A Down, with more influences identifiable each time I listen to them. I've had two of their CD's in the car sice I first heard them!

The pics aren't as bad as some of the other gig pics; these were taken with my newer camera, although it doesn't seem to like action shots & again I had to do a lot of cropping to get limbs etc from the crowd out!

It was a brilliant night with loads of crowd interaction. This is the first gig I've been to where the band actually encouraged a mosh pit!!! Go Breed77! Enjoy the pics!

Paul breaks the mic stand! Cool!
